DevOps Architect
Responsibilities
- Preparing strategy & plan for Azure/AWS cloud tenant design & its integration with Azure/AWS cloud
- Identify key elements of enterprise cloud tenant
- Have individual point of view on design & architecture of key components/elements of Azure cloud tenant as well as components of DevOps, Data Platform, Mops, Data Science workbench, API management, Load balancing, firewall, cloud security, application hosting etc.
- Co-ordinate & participate in meeting involving AWS & Azure teams facilitating a productive discussion for cloud platform design
- Work with InfoSec team to understand & ensure necessary controls are included in Azure cloud design
- Work with data teams to understand & ensure optimal design for data storage & data
exchange across Azure & AWS - Work with EA team to understand & ensure best practices & standards are included in Azure cloud design
- Review & validate design & architecture artefacts on behalf of Client’s Digital team
- Oversee the implementation & rollout of Azure services
- Help Client understand & evaluate best Managed Services / Azure option & ensure its governance is in place
On an ongoing basis once the foundation Azure tenant is setup & other components of digital
platform are built, the Azure Cloud Architect is expected to support client’s digital team across
projects & portfolio to arrive at best technical architecture for cloud deployment, architectures, BoM, Infrastructure costing for internal projects & external proposals etc.
Job Description
- Candidate must be proficient with Azure and have overall understanding of Azure/AWS
- Strong hands-on Microservices Design and Deployment –, Kubernetes or OpenShift
- Hands on configuration management tools such as Ansible, Chef, Puppet
- Should have experience of working on IAC tools like Terraform / CFT
- Strong scripting language experience: Python, Shell
- Hands on complete Design / Implementation of CI/CD Processes
- Strong understanding of cloud delivery models – public, private and hybrid
- Hands on experience in Cloud assessment and migration
- AWS certified Solution Architect – Professional is required
- Hands on knowledge on logging and monitoring services via tools such as Graylag, Syslog
- Experience of New Relic, Prometheus, Nagios, etc is a plus
- Hands on experience in SQL and NoSQL databases such as MySQL, Oracle, Cassandra, PostgreSQL is a plus
- Should have 10 + years of IT experience, and last 5 years in above areas
