Project Manager

Job Description:

The Project Manager (PM) is responsible for providing project planning, management and oversight for key initiatives and implementation projects, ensuring first that these initiatives and projects are closely aligned with client’s strategic priorities, and second, that these initiatives and projects are completed on-time, within scope and budget and with an extremely high quality of deliverables. The PM will ensure the optimum mix of cost, schedule, performance, and system supportability throughout the life cycle (design, development, testing and evaluation, production, and disposition) of each project.

Expectations

This individual will lead the day-to-day activities for one or more delivery teams, ensure alignment to software delivery processes/best practices. The PM will be responsible for delivering the project and services to the client as agreed within the SOW/Contract.

  • Responsible for contributing to the development of detailed project plans; identifying resource needs to support delivery efforts and coordinating the daily activities of the development teams in alignment with project plans
  • Other responsibilities include the refinement of requirements, project coordination, development of plans and schedules, resource planning and estimation and project maintenance
  • Defines project scope, deliverables, roles and responsibilities in collaboration with stakeholders and business partners
  • Communicate major milestones, identify potential project risks, provide continuing direction to the delivery teams and communicate project status regularly
  • Manages and appropriately escalates delivery impediments, risks, issues, and changes associated to the project initiatives
  • Establishes, plans, and executes major milestone reviews and decision gates to complete the program and project life cycle. Ensures all the required products are produced and reviewed, including the technical leadership of requirements management, design, implementation, system integration, verification, test, quality assurance, delivery, operations, and sustainment of the technical solution
  • Provide process improvement recommendations based on best practices and industry standards
  • Resolves conflicts by demonstrating leadership and appropriate decision-making competencies
  • Report status in an objective manner based on KPI(s) to clients and internal stakeholders at regular frequencies – Weekly Reports, Monthly Reports
  • Provide data to Account Manager for Business Review Meetings
  • Ability to lead and motivate cross-functional teams and interact with all levels

Key Skills and Experience

  • Overall 12+ years of experience out of which at least 5+ years in planning and execution of large size, complex projects.
  • Must possess problem solving skills, ability to understand technical problems and facilitate solutions
  • Experience in stakeholder management with global client tele
  • Good at setting client expectations
  • Good at negotiating and persuading
  • Proficient in managing Agile based projects
  • Thorough in Project Management Knowledge area and should be able showcase with real-time examples
  • Should be able to report project progress in an objective manner using KPI(s) on Project Management and Agile
  • Good at communication; should be able to articulate and communicate to the point, with client and internal stakeholders
  • Important to have knowledge of ALM and DevOps with hands-on experience in managing projects with implementation
  • Good at people management – conflict resolution, motivation, mentoring, providing leadership
  • Nice to have experience in managing Fixed Bid projects
  • Help pre-sales team in estimation process, preparing proposal and provide information for RFP/RFI

Job Role and KRA’s

  • Work from HILTI Pune office and manage the Innominds projects
  • Participate in SCRUM meetings and track progress across projects

1 Client Engagement and Stakeholder Management
  • Bridge the gap between Innominds teams and client stakeholders
  • Discuss roadmap with client stakeholders and work with Innominds Account team to drive synergy
  • Engage with client stakeholders and provide updates on Innominds capabilities, resourcing bench.
  • Seek regular feedback of teams and work with Innominds internal teams to meet client expectations
2 Project Monitoring and Control
  • Understand the product roadmap, goals, key releases, and milestones
  • Participate in SCRUM Meetings and track progress
  • Report project status and progress on regular basis
3 Project Governance
  • Define KPI(s) to track various project and get approval from client
  • Provide weekly and monthly status reports inline with the KPI(s)
  • Proactively highlight risk and issues and work with stakeholders on closure
  • Track open requirements and fulfilment
4 People Management
  • Engage with Innominds Team at HILTI
  • Resolve general queries
  • Provide timely feedback and develop plan for improvement of team, upskilling
  • Facilitate the appraisal process
5 Technical Leadership
  • Review key artefacts and deliverables
  • Facilitate technical reviews
  • Ensure quality deliverables as per the agreed KPI(s) with client
  • Create a horizontal technical hierarchy to help Innominds Team working at HILTI reach experts for technical help, advise, solutioning etc.
